Logitech RS50 vs MOZA R5 (R5 Pro): what you'll really pay in the UK, platform by platform

No paid links yet. We don't earn from any link on this page, so every shop link is a plain link. Prices are UK prices on the date shown.

Researched, not tested. We haven't used either wheel, so we don't rate how they feel. This comparison is built from Logitech's and MOZA's own product and support pages and UK retailer listings, all checked on 31 October 2026.

Quick verdict (UK prices checked 31 Oct 2026):

First: "MOZA R5" in the UK now means the R5 Pro

Search for the MOZA R5 in the UK and you'll land on the R5 Pro: MOZA's UK page for the original R5 racing bundle now redirects to the R5 Pro bundle. The original 5.5 Nm R5 base is still sold in the UK only as part of the R5 Trucking bundle (MOZA UK R5 range).

So for UK buyers the real comparison is Logitech RS50 vs MOZA R5 Pro, and that's what this page covers. According to MOZA's FAQ, the R5 Pro takes torque from 5.5 Nm to 6 Nm and the encoder from 15-bit to 21-bit (R5 Pro bundle).

In the US, MOZA still lists the original R5 racing bundle ($379, down from $599, on 31 Oct 2026; MOZA US).

Platform compatibility decides it

Logitech RS50: three versions, and a one-way upgrade

Logitech sells the RS50 System in PC Only, PlayStation/PC and Xbox/PC versions. Each box holds the same kit: base, RS Wheel Hub with round wheel, power supply, USB cable, table clamp, tools and fixings. The difference is where console support sits: PlayStation support is built into the base, and Xbox support into the wheel hub (Logitech UK).

That makes the upgrade one-way:

MOZA R5 Pro: Windows PC, with Xbox only through the ESX wheel

MOZA's R5 Pro page calls it designed for Windows PC (R5 Pro). For Xbox, MOZA points you to a different wheel rim, the ESX (£129, down from £139). MOZA says the ESX works with all its bases and that "to use it on Xbox, pair the ESX with a compatible MOZA wheelbase. The R3 bundle is not required." (ESX; MOZA wheel base FAQs). MOZA also notes that Xbox game compatibility "may vary by title".

The R5 Pro isn't Xbox-ready out of the box. On Xbox it needs the ESX, and the bundled ES Lite wheel sits unused.

PS5: Logitech yes, MOZA not today

MOZA's FAQ says its products currently don't support PS4 or PS5, and there's "no official workaround" (FAQ modified 29 May 2026). At the Tokyo Game Show on 17 September 2026, MOZA showed new PlayStation-focused bases, the R5S Pro and the R16S Ultra, and said pricing, availability and launch date would come "at a later stage" (MOZA TGS 2026). There's no UK price or date yet. If you play on PS5 today, the RS50 PS/PC version is your only option of the two.

Forza Horizon 6

Forza's official list fully supports the RS50 on Xbox and PC. The MOZA R5 is partial on PC only, with no Xbox entry. See our Forza Horizon 6 wheel guide for fixes and an update tracker.

On paper, the RS50's 8 Nm peak torque is 2 Nm more than the R5 Pro's 6 Nm. Both figures come from the manufacturers; we haven't measured either base or compared them on track. Logitech doesn't publish an encoder resolution for the RS50, though reviews by LoadSyn and MySimRig report 16-bit.

About pedal names: MOZA calls the R5 Pro's pedals "SR-P Lite2" or "SRP Lite2", and some retailers write "SRP2 Lite". Don't confuse them with the SRP2, MOZA's separate load-cell set (100 kg load cell, £139). Overclockers' R5 Pro listing also says "NexGen 4.0", but MOZA's own page says NexGen 5.0.

TRUEFORCE: which games actually use it

TRUEFORCE turns game audio and physics data into extra detail through the wheel. Logitech's own RS50 in-game settings table gives TRUEFORCE settings for Gran Turismo 7 (100), iRacing (100) and Assetto Corsa Competizione (30 on PC and Xbox, 50 on PS5). It lists TRUEFORCE as not available in Forza Horizon 6 (Logitech RS50 in-game settings). If FH6 is your main game, don't buy the RS50 for TRUEFORCE.

FAQ

Is the Logitech RS50 or the MOZA R5 better? That depends on your platform. In the UK the MOZA R5 is now sold as the R5 Pro: a £389 bundle with a 6 Nm base, wheel, pedals and desk clamp, designed for Windows PC. If you race only on PC, it's the cheaper complete kit. The Logitech RS50 comes in PC Only, PlayStation/PC and Xbox/PC versions, but ships without pedals. With Logitech's £119.99 RS Pedals, it costs £639.98 for PC Only (out of stock at Logitech UK on 31 October 2026) or £719.98 for the PS/PC or Xbox/PC version (UK prices, 31 October 2026). On paper the RS50's base is stronger: Logitech states up to 8 Nm, against MOZA's 6 Nm for the R5 Pro. We haven't tested either. If you play on PS5, the RS50 is the only one of the two that works today.

Does the MOZA R5 work on PS5 or Xbox? Not on PS5. MOZA says its products currently don't support PS4 or PS5 and that there's no official workaround. It has announced PlayStation-focused R5S Pro and R16S Ultra bases, but without a UK price or release date. The R5 Pro isn't Xbox-ready on its own: MOZA's route is to pair a MOZA base with its £129 ESX wheel, and MOZA says compatibility varies by game.

Does the Logitech RS50 come with pedals? No. The RS50 System box contains the base, the RS Wheel Hub with a round wheel, a power supply, a USB cable, a table clamp and tools, but no pedals. Logitech's RS Pedals, with a 75 kg load-cell brake and Hall-effect throttle, cost £119.99 at Logitech UK on 31 October 2026. The MOZA R5 Pro bundle includes pedals (SR-P Lite2, without a load cell) and a desk clamp.

What's the difference between the MOZA R5 and R5 Pro? MOZA says the R5 Pro raises peak torque from 5.5 Nm to 6 Nm and the encoder from 15-bit to 21-bit. In the UK, the original R5 racing bundle page now redirects to the R5 Pro (£389), and the original R5 base is sold only in the R5 Trucking bundle.

Does the RS50 have TRUEFORCE in Forza Horizon 6? No. Logitech's settings table lists TRUEFORCE as not available in Forza Horizon 6. It gives TRUEFORCE settings for Gran Turismo 7, iRacing and Assetto Corsa Competizione.
