Forza Horizon 6 racing wheels: MOZA fixes, and what works on Xbox, PC and PS5
No paid links yet. We don't earn from any link on this page, so every shop link is a plain link. Prices are UK prices on the date shown.
Researched, not tested. We haven't tested these wheels or fixes. Everything here comes from Forza's and the manufacturers' own support pages, which we link throughout and last checked on 31 October 2026.
Quick answer (last checked 31 Oct 2026 against Forza's official wheel list):
- Xbox Series X|S: fully supported wheels include the Logitech G PRO, RS50, G923 and G920, and the Thrustmaster T248, TS-XW, TMX and T150 RS. The MOZA R3 is the only MOZA with an Xbox entry, and it's marked as partial support.
- PC: the widest support. Every MOZA base, R3 to R21, is listed as partial ("additional support coming in update").
- PS5: not out yet. It's a pre-order for 26 January 2027 (Premium Edition early access from 21 January). No PS5 wheel support has been announced.
MOZA wheel not working? Start with the fixes below.
Fix: MOZA wheel not detected, steering won't bind, or no force feedback in FH6 (PC)
Forza lists every MOZA base as only partly supported on PC, so some features may not work yet. Still, common faults (no force feedback, an axis that won't bind, missing pedals) are often set-up problems with documented fixes. Work through these in order.
Step 1: Update Pit House and your firmware first
Forza calls this "CRITICAL": a wheel that works with older games, "even Forza games", may not work with a new one until its drivers and firmware are updated. Install MOZA Pit House from MOZA's Download Centre, then update the base, the rim and any pedals or shifters it finds.
Step 2: Unplug everything except the wheelbase, and skip the USB hub
Forza Horizon 6 sends force feedback only to the device it registers as "Device 1". If your pedals, shifter, handbrake or a controller grabs that slot, the wheel can go limp.
- Turn off or unplug every other control device.
- Plug the wheelbase directly into a dedicated USB 3.0 port, not a hub.
- Don't keep unplugging and re-plugging the wheel into USB 3.0 ports. Forza says some wheels generate an incorrect USB ID (VID/PID) when this happens, and the game needs the correct one to recognise the wheel.
Step 3: Check the wheel is Device 1
In game, go to Advanced Controls > Wheel > Custom Profile and test the Steering input. This is Forza's own check: if steering responds, the base is registered correctly.
Step 4: Steering too heavy to turn while binding?
MOZA's Chinese-language FH6 guide (12 May 2026) says to open Pit House, go to the base settings, lower Game Spring to 50%, then bind steering again (MOZA FH6 guide, Chinese edition). It's a binding fix, not a force feedback setting, and MOZA's English guide leaves it out. Forum posts suggesting 0% are a user workaround, not MOZA's advice.
For the in-game Center Spring Scale, Forza says "leave it alone or turn it down" (see Settings).
Step 5: Try MOZA's experimental Horizon compatibility setting
Pit House has an experimental setting called "Base Forza Horizon compatibility". MOZA documents it in its Forza Horizon 4/5 force-feedback guide, not as a fix for FH6. Some FH6 players report enabling it. Try it only if steps 1–4 haven't worked, and switch it off if it makes things worse.
Step 6: Add your other devices back one at a time
Reconnect pedals, shifter and handbrake, binding each before adding the next. If they plug into separate USB ports rather than into the wheelbase, Forza says you'll need to create a custom wheel profile. The game won't map them automatically, and may recognise only one device, for example the wheel but not the pedals.

What we're watching for:
- Forza removing MOZA's asterisks or "coming in update" notes, or adding any base other than the R3 to the Xbox column.
- MOZA adding FH6 to its Xbox games support list. Its data is dated 22 July 2024 and lists FH4, FH5 and Forza Motorsport, but not FH6.
- A PS5 wheel list for FH6 (see below).
What about MOZA wheels on Xbox? MOZA sells the ESX wheel, which it lists for "PC & Xbox". MOZA says the ESX can be paired with a compatible MOZA wheelbase to use on Xbox, and that "Xbox game compatibility and features may vary by title" (MOZA ESX). For FH6, though, Forza's list has no Xbox entry for the R5, R9, R12, R16 or R21. Only the R3 is listed, as partial, so we can't say an R5 or R9 with an ESX works in FH6 on Xbox.
The short answer by platform
Xbox Series X|S
Forza's list gives full Xbox support to these wheels:
- Logitech: G PRO, RS50, G923 and G920 Driving Force.
- Thrustmaster: T248, TS-XW, TMX Force Feedback, T150 RS, TX Racing Wheel and the Ferrari 458 Spider.
- HORI: Force Feedback DLX, Overdrive Series and Overdrive Xbox One.
- Mad Catz: Pro Racing Force Feedback (marked "legacy support").
These are listed as partial on Xbox:
- Thrustmaster: T598, T128 and T98 Ferrari 296 GTS.
- MOZA: R3.
- Nacon: RS Pure.
- Turtle Beach: VelocityOne Race, VelocityOne Race KD3 and Racer Wireless.
The T98 Ferrari 296 GTB and the T-GT II have no Xbox entry.
Forza also says Xbox players should connect their wheel to a PC or laptop to update its drivers and firmware.
PC (Steam / Xbox app)
Every wheel above works on PC with the same full or partial status, except the Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 Spider, which is listed for Xbox only. So every Nacon and Turtle Beach wheel is partial on PC too. PC-only entries:
- Logitech: the G29 Driving Force, and the G27, G25, Driving Force GT and Momo (legacy; Forza says the Momo isn't compatible with Steam).
- Thrustmaster: T300 RS, TS-PC, T-GT and T500 RS. The T-GT II and T98 Ferrari 296 GTB are partial, on PC only.
- HORI: APEX (partial, PC only). HORI's other three wheels are fully supported on both platforms.
Every MOZA base is partial. For G29 and G920 owners, Forza says you must install the latest Logitech G HUB, or "the wheel will not function as intended".
PS5
Forza Horizon 6 isn't playable on PS5 yet. On the UK PlayStation Store it's a pre-order for 26 January 2027, with Premium Edition early access from 21 January. Forza's PS5 FAQ lists UK prices of £59.99 (Standard), £89.99 (Deluxe) and £109.99 (Premium) (Forza PS5 FAQ, 8 Oct 2026). Forza's wheel list covers only Xbox and PC, and no PS5 wheel support has been announced. We'll update this page when it is.
How to read Forza's official list
This is a summary. Read the full, current version, because Forza updates it after patches.
- *An asterisk () means partial support. For example, force feedback works but button mappings don't.
- Check the platform version. Forza says "Xbox-specific versions are not guaranteed to be compatible with PlayStation and vice versa."
- Fanatec is listed by component. Forza has tested bases including the CSL DD, GT DD Pro and Podium DD1/DD2, and the GT DD Extreme and ClubSport DD+ are marked "additional support coming in update". For which console each combination works on, Forza points to Fanatec's Platform Compatibility page (UK). Fanatec's rule: on Xbox the rim unlocks the platform, and on PlayStation the base does.
- Thrustmaster TX owners: all TX wheels share one USB ID, so the game defaults to the 458 edition. Pick your model so the buttons map correctly.
Fix: any wheel with no force feedback
The Forza advice behind the MOZA steps applies to every brand: Device 1, a direct USB 3.0 port (no hub), no repeated re-plugging, the Custom Profile steering test, and a custom profile for separately connected pedals or shifters. Also install your brand's latest drivers and firmware: Logitech G HUB, Thrustmaster's drivers, or Fanatec's drivers plus a manual firmware update.

Xbox, entry level
The G923 and T248 both have full support. Buy the Xbox/PC version. MOZA's R3 is only partial in FH6 today.
Xbox, stepping up
The RS50, G PRO and TS-XW are all fully supported. Choosing between Logitech and MOZA? Read Logitech RS50 vs MOZA R5. In FH6 the R5 has no Xbox entry.
PC only
For FH6 alone, pick a wheel with full support (no asterisk). Want a MOZA for other sims? Its FH6 support is partial for now; see the tracker above.
Already own MOZA kit? Buy MOZA accessories direct (View at MOZA UK), or through Overclockers UK.
Planning for PS5
There's no FH6 PS5 wheel list yet, so buying now is a gamble. If you do, pick a PlayStation-licensed wheel and check back after launch. See our best wheel for Gran Turismo 7 guide for PlayStation wheels.

Settings: Forza's advice and the makers' starting settings
Forza first. Start from default settings. Forza says the cockpit hands won't turn the wheel past 540° either way, and that "this does not represent the actual in-game steering wheel rotation". So 540° is an animation limit, not a setting. On Center Spring Scale, Forza says "leave it alone or turn it down" (Advanced Wheel Tuning, 14 May 2026). Update drivers and firmware first, on Xbox too.
Makers' starting settings. Each set is the maker's own, for its own wheels. Don't mix them.
- Fanatec (FH6 recommended settings, updated 15 May 2026): all defaults except Wheel Damper Scale 0.2. On Xbox, also Force Feedback Scale 1.5 and Steering Rotation 1440.
- Thrustmaster T598 (official FH6 PC preset, 14 May 2026): Force Feedback Scale 1.1, Center Spring Scale 1.0, Wheel Damper Scale 0.5, rotation 900°.
- Logitech RS50 (FH6 RS50 settings page): RS mode, FFB Filter 5, dampener off, rotation 900°. This is for the RS50 only.
- Logitech G video (19 May 2026): Center Spring Scale 0.7 and Force Feedback Scale 1.5, with the wheel at 1080°. It's a separate Logitech source, so don't combine it with the RS50 page's 900°.
- MOZA: no published FH6 force feedback numbers. MOZA's figures of 50% game FFB intensity, 0% wheel spring and 540° rotation come from its FH4/FH5 guide and are for FH4/FH5 only.
FAQ
Which racing wheels work with Forza Horizon 6? Forza's official list (support.forza.net, last checked 31 October 2026) gives full support on Xbox Series X|S and PC to the Logitech G PRO, RS50, G923 and G920, and the Thrustmaster T248, TS-XW, TMX and T150 RS. The Logitech G29 is fully supported on PC only. The Thrustmaster T598, T128 and T98 Ferrari 296 GTS have partial support on Xbox and PC, and the T98 Ferrari 296 GTB and T-GT II are partial on PC only. Every Nacon and Turtle Beach wheel is partial. Fanatec is listed by tested components such as the CSL DD, GT DD Pro and Podium bases. Every MOZA base is only partly supported on PC, and the R3 is the only MOZA with an Xbox entry. "Partial" can mean force feedback works but button mappings don't.
Why does my MOZA wheel have no force feedback in Forza Horizon 6? Forza Horizon 6 sends force feedback only to the device it registers as "Device 1". If your pedals, shifter or another controller takes that slot, the wheel goes limp. Unplug everything except the MOZA base and plug it straight into a USB 3.0 port on your PC, not a hub. Then check steering under Advanced Controls > Wheel > Custom Profile. If the wheel is too heavy to turn while binding, MOZA's Chinese-language FH6 guide says to lower Game Spring to 50% in Pit House. Reconnect your other devices one at a time, and create a custom profile if they use separate USB ports.
Does Forza Horizon 6 support racing wheels on PS5? Not yet: the game isn't out on PS5. It's a UK pre-order for 26 January 2027, with Premium Edition early access from 21 January. As of 31 October 2026, Forza's published wheel list covers only Xbox and PC, and no PS5 wheel support has been announced. If you buy a wheel now, choose a PlayStation-licensed version: Forza warns Xbox versions aren't guaranteed to work on PlayStation.
Does a MOZA R5 work with Forza Horizon 6 on Xbox? Not according to Forza's list as of 31 October 2026. The R5, R9, R12, R16 and R21 have no Xbox entry for FH6, and only the R3 is listed, as partial. MOZA says its ESX wheel can make a MOZA base work on Xbox, but that compatibility varies by game, and FH6 isn't on MOZA's Xbox games list.
Do I need to update my wheel on Xbox? Yes. Forza says Xbox Series X|S players should connect the wheel to a PC or laptop and install the latest drivers and firmware from the manufacturer before playing.
